The Gemini PDA is capable of displaying more than a single app on its large, wide screen when you’re using the default Android operating system. This is a very simple and straightforward operation though not all Android apps support split-screen mode. Where this is the case you will receive a pop-up alert telling you the app must be run full screen.
To activate split-screen mode, open both of the apps you wish to use and then with one of the apps displaying on your screen touch and hold the app switcher [square] icon on the command bar. This icon will switch to two side-by-side rectangles and you will see the open app move to the left of the screen, while on the right is a view of all the other apps you have open. You can click one of those to have it fill the right side of the screen.
If you then tap the app switcher icon again, the app on the right will change back to the app switcher view and you can choose a different app to appear side-by-side with the first app. Note that the app on the left side of the screen is the dominant app, and will always remain in place.
If you then press the Home button you will see the left side app almost but not quite disappear from the side of the screen. This signifies that the app is still running, and that when you open another app, both will once again appear side by side.
To close one of the open apps and revert to having just one app on your screen, drag the black bar that runs down the centre of the screen fully left or right. This will close the app that you are moving off the screen.
